About the Role

As Project Manager, you will support the project team in the delivery of the Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation, specifically the Reimagining Arts Centre Melbourne project. Responsibilities will include managing project stages from planning to reporting, managing stakeholder relationships, and handling resources including budget, people and risk. You’ll also lead meetings, oversee project governance reporting and ensure compliance with risk management procedures. Additionally, you will review consultant and contractor reports with a focus on technical details, in particular building services engineering, and provide timely escalation of issues to senior management.

 

The Reimagining Business Unit

The Reimagining business unit leads the planning, direction and management of Arts Centre Melbourne’s Reimagining Project that supports the achievement of ACM’s strategic vision and delivery of the Trust’s strategic objectives. Check out the Reimagining of Arts Centre Melbourne to learn more.

Full-time fixed-term position to 30 June 2028. Salary band 4.1 $97,159.92 p.a. plus superannuation.

 

Your Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Diploma of Project Management or other relevant experience
  • Highly organised and efficient
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale projects ($20 million plus) or similar scales in other industries
  • A good understanding of client-side project management and curious to learn
  • Experience in construction, architecture or engineering. Experience in building services engineering design and/or project delivery is highly desired
  • High level stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating with a diverse group to achieve common goals.
  • Strong ability to analyse, interpret and distil complex information that can be briefed to others
  • Comfortable with presenting information to internal and external audiences
  • Ability to be adaptable and work under strict deadlines and high-pressure environments
  • Agility and accuracy with note taking
  • Proven experience with and understanding of current technology, operating systems and applications (e.g. MS Project, Aconex, Bluebeam, Revizto)
